Reward offered for return of stolen items

MIDRAND - A victim of a house robbery is offering an undisclosed amount of money as a reward for the recovery of his stolen items.

On 28 June at 2pm, Sipho Dibakwane’s home in Noordwyk was broken into. He alleged that while he was in the kitchen during load shedding, he heard his back door being forced open. He said, “Three men entered the house and one of them immediately took us to the children’s bedroom.”

Dibakwane told police that the suspects did not use any weapons. He said they then started taking items from the house and loaded them into their vehicle. “No one was hurt, but I lost six years of work on my computer. I am willing to pay for the return of the items stolen if anyone comes across them,” he stated.

Midrand police social crime prevention co-ordinator, Constable Nanty Belebesi said, “The complainant said he did not see what kind of vehicle was used to steal his property. The suspects took less than five minutes to take the stuff and left the house.”

Items that were taken include a 17-inch plasma TV, computer, PlayStation, three blankets, a laptop bag containing a laptop, ID Book, documents and a jewellery box.

If you have seen Dibakwane’s stolen property, contact Midrand police on 011 347 1600.
