Man rapes two women in one night

IVORY PARK – Two women were raped on the same night of 9 July, allegedly by the same man in Ivory Park Ext 13 and Kaalfontein Ext 22.

 

Ivory Park police are looking for the man who was described by one of the victims as wearing white clothes and carrying a handbag, claiming to be on his way to church. The suspect approached his first victim while she was on her way to church.

The victim said the man grabbed her by the throat and she lost consciousness. When she came round she noticed her underwear had been removed and she had been raped. The suspect also stole her handbag.

Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “Two hours later another woman was raped and told police a similar story about a man claiming to be going to church and later raping her in Kaalfontein, just a few kilometres away from where the first incident happened.”

In the second incident the victim said she was hit on the head with an unknown object by a man. The victim lost consciousness and when she came to she had no underwear on and she had been raped. Her handbag and other valuables were also taken.
