Metro officers critical after being shot in Ivory Park

IVORY PARK - Two metro police officers were shot in Ivory Park on the night of 2 August.

According to The Tembisan the officers were directing traffic at the corner of Republic Road and Archer Fish Drive when a pedestrian opened fire on them.

According to Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar, one of the officers was shot on the upper body and both legs, while the other officer was shot in the neck.

The officers are both in a serious condition at Sunninghill Hospital and no arrests have yet been made.
