ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle parked against the roadside barrier. “On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest and was in a serious condition,” said Meiring.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were performed on the victim before he was transported to Johannesburg General Hospital for urgent treatment.
The incident was reported to local authorities for further investigations.
