Clothes thieves arrested in Vorna Valley

VORNA VALLEY- A case of possession of suspected stolen property was opened at Midrand Police Station after two suspects were arrested.

The suspects were caught by Ria Sebetsa Security guards on 4 September after they were seen running towards Bekker Road, Midrand, carrying a large bag which was full of clothes.

Resident Mike Bulungu said he was moving into a stand-alone home in a boomed area when he realised his clothes had been stolen from a cottage where he had dropped them off while he moved.

He said, “They stole six pairs of shoes, 12 clothing items and curtains.”

The items were recovered. “I am yet to collect the stuff from Midrand Police Station.”

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela confirmed that the two suspects appeared in Midrand Magistrates’ Court for possession of stolen property.
