Metro police recover stolen vehicle

MIDRAND – Metro police nab man driving stolen vehicle.

 

Metro police officers recently arrested a man for driving a vehicle which was reported as stolen.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar, spokesperson for Metro police, said Metro officers stopped the vehicle, a white Citroen Relay Bus, during a routine check conducted on the corner of Le Roux and Old Pretoria roads.

“The vehicle was stopped at around midday on 11 August, officers from Region A discovered that the bus had been stolen in Themba, Hammanskraal in April. They arrested the driver and charged him with possession of a stolen vehicle at Midrand Police Station.”

The suspect will soon appear in court and face charges of possession of a stolen vehicle. The case continues.
