Child knocked down outside Noordwyk Primary School
NOORDWYK – Bad driving conditions blamed for the incident.
A child was knocked down by a speeding car outside Noordwyk Primary School this morning, 21 February.

It has been reported that the child is in a stable condition and has been taken to a plastic surgeon at Life Fourways Hospital with cuts to the face.

The cause of the incident is unknown at this point but it has been alleged that the gravel 9th road on which it occurred is notorious for having potholes and being in a bad condition.

Ward 112 Councillor, Madeleine Hicklin, said the child was shaken up but is set to recover from the ordeal. She added that she has repeatedly asked the City of Johannesburg to fix up the road and get it tarred, however, the road continues to be in bad condition and allegedly poses a danger to motorists and pedestrians.
