Good turnout at the Corrosion Awareness Day event

MIDRAND – Introduction on courses related to corrosion were done during the day.

 

The Corrosion Institute of South Africa celebrated World Corrosion Awareness Day at their premises in Glen Austin with a positive turnout from the public and stakeholders.

In the same spirit of raising awareness, presentations on the introduction of three courses namely, corrosion not just rust, the economics of corrosion and corrosion engineering were done during the day on 20 April.

“We had a good turnout and a lovely day. We are looking forward to next year,” said course administrator at the institute, Linda Hinrichsen.

Exhibitors that were present included Macsteel, Quick Lab, Kansai Plascon, Isinyithi Cathodic Protection, SGB Cape, Blastrite, Stopaq, Corrosion Institute of South Africa and Mintek.
