UPDATE: Protest action on the N14 toward the R55 – rocks and burning tyres obstruct the highway

Midrand Reporter journalist, Welisa Nene, has attempted to reach the scene of the protest but was forced to turn back.

“People are turning around running, I had to run out as well, a guy was caught and beaten,” said Nene.

“Some guy was forcing to go forward, they smashed his car. I don’t know where the police are, it was said that they somewhere there but it’s a mess.”
