City of Joburg introduces extended hours at Rabie Ridge Clinic

RABIE RIDGE – The Rabie Ridge Clinic is extending its operational hours.

The Rabie Ridge Clinic has a generator to ensure that services are not disrupted so as to cater for patient care in case of power cuts, power outages or load-shedding.

The clinic will now operate until Saturday and an extra hour has been added onto the normal operating hours, which are 7.30am till 4pm.

“Management at the facility have spoken to me about the massive challenges they face at the facility. There are massive population challenges in respect demand for the facility,” said Executive Mayor of Joburg Herman Mashaba.

The Rabie Ridge Clinic also provides vegetable packs and other means through their Expanded Social Package (ESP) programme in cases where the individual has health challenges. “The City prefers teaching families and community members how to grow their own vegetables or food.”

The City of Joburg will be hosting its #JoburgIDP19 meeting in Rabie Ridge this coming Saturday, 6 April. “This is an opportunity to address the city’s leadership on the challenges in your area”.
