Young entrepreneurs donate to SPCA

MIDRAND – Local entrepreneurs support and continually donate to the Midrand SPCA.

Two 12-year-old entrepreneurs did their part for the local community by heading over to the Midrand SPCA on 13 April to donate R200 of the proceeds they made from their small business.

Hannah and Abigail Beevers are talented entrepreneurs who make and sell key rings at local markets. They often donate 50 per cent of the funds they raise to the SPCA. Midrand SPCA general manager Pam Pretorius said the sisters have been doing this for the past year and have donated R600 to the society so far. “I do not know how to express how I really feel but I am absolutely humbled,” said Pretorius.

“We actually need such young people in our community and the SPCA is really thankful for their effort.”

The SPCA added that they also have stock of the key rings for those who would wish to support the young entrepreneurs, and they sell from as little as R5 each.
