Motorist robbed on the highway

The Midrand police are investigating an alleged armed robbery that took place on the highway on 31 May.

Spokesperson Constable Thabiso Selowa said that the victim was driving on the N1 at 7pm, but was forced to pull over to the side of the highway due to a wheel puncture.

Selowa explained that the victim called for assistance and was waiting when she was approached by two armed suspects.

The suspects demanded she hands over her belongings. They took her handbag, cell phone, and the charger before fleeing.

The Midrand Police are currently investigating the issue.
