Ivory Park’s talent show uncovers hidden gems

IVORY PARK – Talent show exposes the local talent leaving crowd and judges amazed and wanting more.

Non-profit organisation Pushabrand Edutainment hosted a talent show on 15 June at the Ivory Park Community Hall in Ivory Park, to promote local talent.

In total, 48 singers, dancers, poets and other creatives took to the stage on the day with each performer shining in front of the crowd. Many were amazed by what they have been missing out on right under their noses, screaming and chanting their lungs out for the performers. While many people had signed up to take part, many could not participate due to time constraints.

The top three talented winners ended up being poets Athule Ngxanga of the Bathi Siyafana crew who took first prize for his exquisite act of monologue stunts fused with comedy. Tripetite Crew came out second for energetic hip-hop performance and third was Sanele Nxumalo (Hlaba lapo the poet).

Each of the winners bagged clothes supplied by Rollville and Slavery,a local brand, while the first-prize winner won a deal with them to wear their clothes for any of their special occasion functions.

Pushabrand founder Lesufi Mangope said that he was impressed with the outcome of the show especially as it was their first as a brand, and they attracted a lot of audience from Ivory Park and around Gauteng.

“This gave us hope to what we need to host another show very soon. It was not easy for the judges to reach a decision and choose the final three winners because there was a lot of talent showcased.

“However, I would love to thank our local brand Rolleville and Slavery clothing for coming on board when most brands disappointed at the last minute.”
