COPA invites music enthusiast to enter for their talent show
MIDRAND – Showcase your talent at the COPA Annual Talent Showdown
The Campus of Performing Arts (Copa) is urging community members of Midrand and Gauteng at large to participate in their annual Copa Talent Showdown taking place from 12 October.
Liza Monageng who is part of the marketing team at Copa said that the tertiary music education institution is giving away great prizes this prizes.
Three prizes are up for grabs:
- A prize worth over R65 000 for those 17 years and above
- A prize worth over R11 000 for those 16 years and younger
- A bursary worth R68 000.
Monageng added, “We also have some amazing sponsors such as Lady Zamar, Campus of Performing Arts Foundation, Mitech Direct, Sennheiser, Copa Academy Midrand, and Paul Bothner Music on board.”
She said each round will have a panel of three industry professional judges and there will be three rounds. Auditions will take place on 12 October, the semi-finals will be on 26 October and the finals on 9 November.
“The categories include bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, vocals, rap, DJ, bands, groups and duets.”
She added that entries are open and cost R350 once-off per person, per category. Registration forms can be downloaded on the following link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScYFTV3X5tIXENMAKPFgMkcDd2bNsJ5hL7pl61cVvRgeC38uA/viewform and is also available on their social media pages.
Monageng concluded that both payment and the registration forms must be completed before 9 October and members of the public are also welcome to visit the campus located Riverview Office Park in Midrand or contact them on 011 622 7253 and through our social media @copa_sa.
