Murder suspects nabbed after body found on Old Pretoria Road

MIDRAND – Two suspects linked to a murder were arrested by the Midrand police.


A tip-off has led to the arrest of two suspects for murder.

According to the Midrand Police Station spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela, a pedestrian notified officers of a body on the corner of Broadwalk and Old Pretoria Road in Midrand on 7 February. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in ripped formal pants on the ground. Police called paramedics when they noticed that the man was not breathing. The paramedics pronounced the victim dead and the police opened a case of murder.

On 8 February, the police received a tip-off which led to the arrest of two suspects alleged to have been involved in the incident.
