Police search for family of man found dead in Austin View

RABIE RIDGE – Rabie Ridge Police want help finding family of a deceased man.


Police are appealing for help with finding the family of a man who was found injured in Austin View and later died in hospital.

According to Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo, police officers were called by someone who had noticed a man between 20 and 30 years of age lying in an open field in Austin View on 23 February. “When the police got there they called an ambulance which took the man to Tembisa Hospital where he later passed on a few days later on 25 February.”

Nhlongo added, “He is currently at the mortuary of a government hospital in Germiston. We do not have his picture at this moment but we are appealing to anyone with information to contact our police station or our investigation officer.”
