Woman arrested for selling alcohol in Ivory Park

IVORY PARK – The suspect is accused of selling alcohol during the lockdown period.


Metro police officers arrested a suspect for the contravention of the National Disaster Act on Saturday, 4 April in Ivory Park.

Chief of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department David Tembe said the female suspect was arrested for the contravention of the National Disaster Act by selling alcohol and failing to close her business which is prohibited during the lockdown period.

The suspect is being detained at Ivory Park Police Station.
