Midrand Police Station closes temporarily for Covid-19 decontamination

MIDRAND – Midrand Police Station temporarily closed for decontamination due to Covid-19.

Midrand Police Station has temporarily closed for decontamination due to a confirmed case of Covid-19.

Gauteng provincial head for corporate communication, Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, broke the news in a media statement on 9 July. She said that a member of the police station tested positive for Covid-19.

Peters advised that community members would be assisted at a container in the same yard of the police station.

She added, “The community is advised to call 10111 for all emergencies and complaints which need to be attended by Midrand Police Station.

“The telephone lines at Midrand Police Station community service centre will not be accessible for the duration of closure.”

Peters said the community would be informed when the station would be operational again.

She concluded that police management apologised for any inconveniences that may arise from this.
