ICYMI: Midrand SPCA prepares to host its annual general meeting Glen Austin

The Midrand SPCA’s annual general meeting will take place at Ambrosia Hall in Glen Austin on 25 July.

General manager Pam Pretorius said, “All members and members of public are welcome to join us, but only paid up members will be permitted to vote at the annual general meeting (AGM).”She explained that members of the SPCA elect a management committee for the society at the meeting.

“These members have to comply with certain protocols and must be committed to the prevention of cruelty to animals.

“Local community members serve on the management committee of the SPCA and are responsible for the smooth and legal daily operations of the society, investing their free time, including doing fundraising on behalf of the SPCA.”

The meeting will be held at Ambrosia Hall on 25 July at 10am. Pretorius added that the organisation currently are unable to confirm the number of people that may attend the event and kindly request those interested to email them at info@midrandspca.co.za to reserve a seat.

She added, “Strict protocols in terms of social distancing and sanitation will be followed and masks are to be worn at all times.”
