Ivory Park youngsters give back

IVORY PARK – Youth Leadership Organisation, an Ivory Park non profit organisation led by local youth donated food parcels to 10 families.

The Youth Leadership Organisation, a local non-profit organisation in Ivory Park, distributed food parcels to 10 families recently.

The leader of the organisation, Pfarelo Maphangule along with his team, encouraged his community to lend a helping hand by donating food items such as tin food, maize meal, bags of potatoes, carrots and cooking oil.

Maphangule said, “The Give Back To My Community campaign was mainly aimed at giving to the underprivileged and also to assist those families who were retrenched during the pandemic.

“As an organisation, we did data gathering in the Ivory Park community and found those families mostly in need, as most of them would go to bed on empty stomachs.”

Maphangule added that they planned on donating food again in December to ensure that families have a meal for Christmas.

“People can help the organisation by donating food parcels or getting in touch with us to donate anything they are able to donate.

“No matter how small it may be, as we believe it is the little things that count.”
