A 35-year-old man was arrested for malicious damage to property in Klipfontein on 19 November.
According to the Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo, a complainant reported that around 8am while sleeping, he heard a sound of something breaking.
“Upon checking what was happening, the complainant said that he found his brother busy breaking the window of his room, also shouting at him accusing him of stealing his money.
“Their mother tried to come in-between them to calm both brothers down, but she was pushed and assaulted by the brother who was [allegedly] busy breaking the house’s windows,” said Nhlongo.
Nlhongo added that a case was opened at the Rabie Ridge Police Station and the suspect was arrested for malicious damage to property.
“The suspect was expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court to answer to the charges laid against him.”
