Ivory Park Police wish the community a happy festive season

Ivory Park Police Station Acting Station Commander, Colonel Thembakazi Ndlovu, would like to wish all the people within the Ivory Park policing precinct a safe and Merry Christmas, and a safe passage into the new year.

Ndlovu appealed to the community to be the eyes and ears of the police during this busy period, and to continue to work closely with the police in the fight against crime.

“Some of the crimes that tend to spike during this time are burglaries into residential homes, especially targeted at people who have gone to visit their loved ones, and into tenants’ rooms.

“It is important for people take reasonable steps in safekeeping their properties and to request for assistance from their trusted ones to look out for their places during their absence,” said Ndlovu.

He added that stokvel members must guard against being robbed by using safer methods when withdrawing large amounts, thus guarding their lives and safety in the process.

“Financial institutions are better equipped in assisting stokvels on how money can be safely moved around.”
