Midrand community shares the love

MIDRAND – Throughout the year, Midrand community members have shown their commitment to giving back to others.

Despite many challenges faced this year, the Fourways community continues to show their care and commitment to helping others.

1. Food for Life, a local non-profit organisation, has committed itself to help provide meals for those in need. The organisation has donated thousands of meals.

2. The Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Clinic in Glenferness shows its consistent support for animals in need. Throughout this year, the clinic has assisted many animals in need from pangolins to servals and vervet monkeys.

3. The Gift of the Givers has worked to provide food parcels to residents in dire need. The food parcels, weighing about 50kg, included large bags of mealie meal and rice, along with other essential items such as cooking oil and tinned foods.

5. In a time of dire need, the African Fashion House put their skills to good use. The company started an initiative to help less fortunate, elderly and vulnerable people in the community by producing and giving them masks to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
