One dead in Midrand crash

HALFWAY HOUSE – Netcare 911responded to two separate collisions on 6 February on the N1 near New Road.


Netcare 911 paramedics attended to a collision on the N1 near New Road in Halfway House Midrand on 6 February, at around 10.36pm.

The medics found a truck and bakkie were involved in a collision. “On assessment, one person had sadly sustained fatal injuries and another four people had sustained minor injuries,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst.

While on the scene, a second collision occurred injuring three patients. Herbst confirmed that all patients were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care.
