Summerhill learners achieve stellar Cambridge results

NOORDWYK – Summerhill College Cambridge learners achieved stellar results.

Summerhill College has expressed pride in their recent Cambridge learners’ results.

Spokesperson for the school Felidia Klaaste said, “We are so proud of [our] Cambridge students who performed phenomenally in the external exams last year. Given that 2020 was a disrupted year, these students have proven that they are unstoppable and able to overcome any adversities in their lives.”

She added, “Congratulations to these students and the teachers and parents who have nurtured and supported them through a very tumultuous year.

“Cambridge International Examinations is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for 15 to19 year olds.”

The school had students taking part in Cambridge International Examinations for A Levels and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). The top performing student for the A levels was Ethan Oger who received four distinctions in chemistry, computer sciences, maths and physics. He was followed by Kulani Mhlongo and Hethvi Kanaparthy who received two distinctions each. Chloe Goorbhare, Kamogelo Lekgoathi, Nicole Pillay, Christine Sibanda and Godlove Lebogo all received one distinction in their examinations.

For the IGCSE examinations, the school also saw stellar results. Nireshka Soman received eight distinctions for accounting, biology, chemistry, computer sciences, English, French, maths and physics. Leilani Shilubane received six distinctions in accounting, business studies, computer science, economics, English and maths. Sushmitha Nooka recieved four distinctions followed by Asandile Mthembu and Thualsizwe Ngcobo who received three distinctions each.

Nikitha Bechoo, Raphael Lebogo and Bronwen van Hees received two distinctions while Kamogelo Letswalo and Shana Mokgoko each achieved one distinction.
