A heartfelt thank you to Witkoppen Clinic

JOBURG – The Caxton Local Media team took the opportunity to show our appreciation to local healthcare workers.

For the past year, healthcare workers have taken on perhaps the biggest challenge of their lives as they battle the Covid-19 pandemic.

While many have been able to change their routines and work at home, healthcare workers took on the daunting task of continuing to provide essential services to the community from hospitals and clinics.

On 4 February, the Caxton Local Media team took the opportunity to show our appreciation to local healthcare workers.

The team put together care packages to donate to the dedicated doctors and nurses at Witkoppen Clinic. This non-profit clinic sees hundreds of patients each day and despite the additional workload and challenges the staff face, they remain positive and committed to assisting community members.

The Caxton Local Media team is grateful to Kingsley Beverages for their donation of energy drinks to the healthcare workers. Steven Fernandes, Kingsley Beverages’ head of marketing said, “Covid first responders are currently under immense strain and we hope that the contribution of Dragon Energy Drink will provide these heroes without capes the added energy that they require.”

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
