RABIE RIDGE – A 30-year-old man was arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.
A 30-year-old Rabie Ridge man was arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend at around 3.30 in the early hours of the morning on 13 April.
According to the Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Jacob Nhlongo, the police received a complaint from a community member after they discovered the body of an adult female on the ground near their house in Rabie Ridge.
Nhlongo added that upon the police’s arrival the community member pointed out the body of a 25-year-old woman.
“It is alleged that the boyfriend stabbed her to death with a sharp object, loaded her in a wheelbarrow and went to drop her on the ground a few metres away from were they were staying,” Nlhongo added.
He concluded that the victim’s boyfriend was arrested and detained at the Rabie Ridge Police Station on charges of murder and would appear at the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court soon.
