Police investigate death of man in Glen Austin

The Midrand Police Station is investing the death of a man who was shot in his car in Midrand on 7 June.

According to the Midrand Police Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane, the man was killed on the corner of Olifantsfontein Road and Pitzer Road at about 12.30pm.

Mabulane said a passport and a Zimbabwean driver’s licence was found in the victim’s car. “The motive of the killing is not yet known and the police have called on all role players at the scene for investigations.”

He said that a source claimed to have witnessed another vehicle stopping next to the victim’s vehicle and a man getting out after which shots were heard.

Mabulane concluded that investigations are ongoing.
