The Manderston Canine Academy invites all dog lovers to a fun day
MIDRAND – The Manderston Canine Academy have invited all dog lovers to a fun day out with their dogs on August 9.
The Manderston Canine Academy has invited all dog lovers to a fun day out with their dogs on August 9.
Field worker at the academy Ben Khuzwayo explained that the day would be a fun day where people could do a fun walk with their dogs. He added that there was an agility course one could take their dogs on and there would be stalls selling various dog-related items.
“Manderston kennels are home to a few non-profit or charity organisations that kennel their dogs here and it is an opportunity for the dogs needing homes to be seen by members of the public, potentially increasing their chances of getting a home.
“We will be opening our doors to the public in the hopes of the rescue dogs getting adopted. There will be stalls and stuff available on the day, such as the Agility Course, 2km and 5km dog walk, One Plan pet insurance stall, OxyPet stall, Ultimate Pet Care Groomers, microchipping, vaccinations, coffee shop and dog and cat apparel to be bought.”
He added that the entrance fee was a bag of dog food which would go to feeding the rescue dogs in the care of Manderston kennels.
Khuzwayo concluded that masks should be worn at all times and sanitising stations would be made available, however, everyone should stick to social distancing.
