Woman hospitalised after falling off her horse

MIDRAND – The 62-year-old woman left in a serious condition due to the injuries she sustained.


A 62-year-old woman was hospitalised on September 19 at around 7:15, after she fell off her horse in Randjiesfontein, Midrand.

According to ER24’s communications officer Russel Meiring, paramedics found the woman lying in the middle of the road. “Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries to her chest, leaving her in a serious condition,” said Meiring.

Meiring added that the woman was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are unknown.
