The city extended Debt Rehabilitation programme
JOBURG – The City of Johannesburg extended the debt rehabilitation programme until December 30.
The City of Johannesburg encouraged customers to apply for the debt rehabilitation programme.
The programme has been extended until December 30. Customers can apply online at www.joburg.org.za or email debtrehab@joburg.org.za, or through the application at the service centre.
Customers can also apply directly at one of the regional open days which started at the beginning of this month. The regional open days focused on regions A, C, D, E and F which were left out from the previous series of open days.
Open days are part of the City’s ongoing attempts to improve customer service by attending to queries logged at respective customer service centres and call centres.
All ratepayers who have outstanding queries are encouraged to attend as this will help to resolve their queries on the spot by the presence of all role players.
The City’s director of communications and stakeholder management in the Group Finance Department, Kgamanyane Maphologela, said a team of experts from entities such as City Power, Joburg Water and the billing department will be brought together to enable successful query resolution.
“In our efforts towards achieving customer service excellence, we always put ratepayers at the centre of what we do,” he said.
He encouraged account holders in financial distress to contact the City’s credit control department to make special payment arrangements through email on creditcontrol@joburg.org.za.
City officials visited the Waterfall Hall on October 2 in Region A. They will be visiting Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge Community Hall on October 9 from 08:00 until 15:30.
