If you have not had a chance to experience the Gautrain, you can take a ride at no cost on December 11.

Operators of the Gautrain, Bombela Concession Company said The Gautrain Free To Move Day rides would take place between 07:00 until 17:00. Free rides would exclude those to OR Tambo International Airport.

According to a statement provided by Bombela’s communications mananger, Nosisa Buthelezi, customers will be offered a chance to experience the Gautrain train and or the bus services at no cost and may travel on the train to as many stations as they wanted. Customers would be required to pre-register by no later than December 1, failing which, standard Gautrain fares would apply on December 11

Registrations are limited and dependent on availability. The promotion is limited to two adults and two children aged 18 years and under per family.

The promotion is applicable to the Gautrain train, bus and parking services, and customers will receive a promotional wristband and welcome pack on the day from the promoters situated at the stations.

The statement mentioned that a special Gautrain bus service would be made available to transport registered customers to selected destinations at no cost.

The bus service will be operating to the Mall of Africa in Midrand, Pretoria Zoo and Menlyn Maine.
