Christ Church prep learners learn important lessons through production

The school marketing manager said the production values all as proud South Africans with a rich rainbow heritage and culture.

The prep learners of Christ Church Preparatory School and College attended a Johannesburg Children’s Theatre production of Under the Baobab Tree on July 19.

One of the cast members, Madelein Pienaar, was a former learner at Christ Church.

Dawn Schmitz, the Christ Church marketing manager said the lessons learned by the learners from the production were essential for them as they would use them in the future.

The production included lessons about values and friendship, being creative and self-sufficient, and instilling a sense of pride in the rich, uniquely South African culture and heritage.

“The show values all as proud South Africans with a rich rainbow heritage and culture,” said Schmitz.

The production ended on a high with everyone joining on stage to dance.
