Midrand law enforcement team makes a huge impact within Sector 2
The team found many drivers driving under the influence.
During the hours of 19:00 and 22:30 on July 22, a multidisciplinary team of Midrand law enforcement agencies made a huge impact in Midrand Sector 2.
The team which included Midrand police, Sector 2 Crime Forum patrollers, ARN Security, and TRSS Security teamed up once again for a joint operation. They managed to recover three unlicensed firearms in three separate incidents, and also removed a handful of dagga from the streets.
In addition, motorists who were driving under the influence of alcohol were arrested.

“As we were about to end our shift, we got alerted of a stolen car in the parking lot of Kyalami shopping centre,” said ARN Security in a statement.
“We responded to the last known tracking location, though further tracking updates seemed to have been jammed. The victims of the crime were safe.”
According to Midrand police, apart from the high visibility joint operations, there have been daily early morning anti-hijacking operations that have run since mid-July involving the police, and Lifestyle, Hawkeye, and Omega security companies.
Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier Molefe David Tsotsotso encouraged the residents to work with the law enforcement teams and to take precautions when they noticed unlawful activities taking place.
