Top Indlovu FC players honoured at the team’s awards
It was excitement and jubilation at Kyalami Preparatory School as Indlovu FC celebrated their top performers in a prize-giving ceremony.
Top performing Indlovu FC players were awarded at a glittering prize-giving at Kyalami Preparatory School on July 30.
The award ceremony was attended by club management, players, parents and the Midrand Local Football Association executive.

Gift Matjokotja was the big winner after scooping three awards – players’ player of the season, most disciplined player and top goal scorer.
Lucas Matjokotja, Gift’s father, who is also known as Pro because of his playing days, gave a speech on behalf of the parents and urged the players to continue working hard.

“As parents, we need to support our children so that they can be the best that they want to be. It pains me when I hear that some parents do not support their children in their respective sports choices. Yes, they [children] must go to school but parents also need to support them in sports as well,” he said.
Sipho Gwaqubana scooped two awards, player of the season and players’ player of the season.

Ndivhuwo Mawela walked away with the goalkeeper of the season award while the ever-solid Aggregate Maluleke and captain Sello Kgodu shared the defender of the season after conceding only 11 goals in their partnership.
Midfielder of the season was awarded to Glen Malesa while Shanen Booysens got the nod for the forward of the season.

Malesela Maake bagged the most improved player while Mthokozisi Maseko’s left-footed scorcher saw him take the goal of the season award.
The team also unveiled their new kit for next season’s SAB Regional League.
