Vaulters make Riba Stables owner and coach proud
Vaulters from Riba Stables in Kyalami have been selected to represent team Gauteng in the upcoming South African championship.
Equestrian vaulters of Riba Stable competed in the Gauteng Vaulting Championships and were selected to represent Gauteng in the upcoming South African championships.
Nine vaulters made the cut for the Gauteng A team while three will represent the B team and two the C team.
The event will be held at the Kyalami Indoor Arena from September 22 to 25.
Vaulter Sana Mashego was the overall winner in the E Grade championship while Tamara-Lee Hogerseil won in the D Grade.
Shannon Roberts and Jenna Blaauw won in the C Grade championship.

Riba Stables owner and manager Barbie Gertenbach said this was an outstanding effort by their vaulters and an amazing feat to have taken the podium in most of the grades.
“We are incredibly proud of our vaulters, horses, coaches and the lungers for the incredible hard work that they put into this beautiful sport. I am very proud of everyone… and the results are amazing,” said Gertenbach.

One proud coach was Boemo Makgalemele who said this was just the beginning of good things to come.
“I expected good results that’s for sure as every practice has [seen] remarkable progress. I just remember laughing with pride towards the podium and this is the beginning,” said Makgalemele.

Riba Stables was established in 1980 and has since moulded vaulters, competitive and non-competitive, into conscientious horse people.
