Police women pampered in a late Women’s Day celebration
Linda Padayachey, event organiser urge women to be resolute and work on becoming better people in their line of duty as police.
The women officers of Midrand Police Station were encouraged to see themselves as equal to their male counterparts.
This was said by Station Commander Brigadier Molefi David Tsotsotso during a belated Women’s Day celebration. The women in blue were pampered with lunch and chocolates on September 30 at the station.

“I think if we put women up front, we will achieve a lot. There are women in high-ranking positions at the station and that shows growth in terms of treating you equally. We need to celebrate all women in police and we recognise you as women because you play a very important role,” said Tsotsotso.

Event organiser and CEO of Free To Be Me International Linda Padayachey told the attendees to be unique and not be intimidated by other women.
“Always remember who you are and take charge of every situation you find yourself in, either at home or workplace, face it head on. Your contribution to the Midrand community is not going unnoticed and we want you to be motivated and walk towards your destiny because you are not in that position by mistake,” said Padayachey.

She wished them well in their police careers and urged them not to rest on their laurels, to support one another and remain positive even in tough situations.
She concluded by thanking all the sponsors that made the lunch possible.
