Ace Models Waterfall opens in Midrand
The Waterfall-based franchise modelling academy is owned, run, and coached by two dynamic women who have collaborated to bring a holistic approach to the modelling and beauty industry.
With a newly launched modelling academy in Waterfall, local models can now hone their catwalk skills and ‘become their dreams’.
Ace Models Waterfall strives to create successful young individuals and to equip them and aspiring models with the right tools and skills to become the best versions of themselves through its development programme.
Many models have launched their careers through Ace Model South Africa, which has 20 franchises in South Africa and Namibia.
The Waterfall-based franchise academy is owned, run, and coached by two dynamic women who have collaborated to bring a holistic approach to the modelling and beauty industry – Mrs South Africa 2018 second princess Jo-Ann Barnwell and Mrs South Africa 2016 Candice Abrahams.
Both Barnwell and Abrahams have been in the pageant industry since the age of five and are excited to bring a curriculum curated like no other in Midrand.
“As Ace Models directors we would like to announce to the entire Midrand area that we are here,” said Barnwell.
“We are excited to go to the schools in our area to help and assist with their local pageants, judge, coach, and do talks about social media’s positives and negatives and encourage the youth to become their dream,” she added.
Public speaking, acting, mental health talks, fashion, makeup styling, social media, and fitness and well-being are also included in the curriculum.
According to Abrahams, they seek individuals seeking to build their confidence, learn how to present themselves in public speaking, and style and groom themselves for different occasions.
“Including runway and pageant training, we will prepare you for the industry, equipping you with the necessary skills so that you give and do your best under our mentorship and guidance,” explained Abrahams.
“Holistically, we believe in the power of the mind and being intentional in all a person does, so we focus first on mental well-being, motivation, and inspiring you to adopt a positive attitude about life.”
The opportunities at Ace Models Midrand are highly promising considering Barnwell and Abrahams are also official scouts for industry giants ICE Models and GAPA Model agencies.
