Over 1000 devotees converge at Castle Kyalami to commemorate the founder of Scientology’s birthday
The celebration attracted many that have benefitted from Hubbard’s humanitarian works such as the Drug-Free World Foundation.
In honour of Lafayette Ronald Hubbard’s birthday, the Church of Scientology recently hosted a birthday celebration event at Castle Kyalami.
The continental Church of Scientology celebrated the birth of its founder on March 25, with over 1 000 officials, religious leaders, community leaders, business titans, and others. It was a heartwarming celebration filled with awards, proclamations, and presentation.
Hubbard was born 112 years ago and his followers believe he inspired a cultural and social betterment movement. Because of the Covid lockdowns, Scientologists around the world have not been able to gather for over three years so this anniversary was eagerly anticipated and well supported. The celebration attracted many that have benefitted from Hubbard’s humanitarian works, such as the Drug-Free World Foundation, The Way to Happiness Foundation, Study Technology and the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, to name a few.
They all spoke of the countless lives Hubbard touched. In fact, 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Hubbard’s development of the Volunteer Ministers programme.
President of the Church of Scientology Gaetane Asselin said, “We are all privileged to be playing our part in honouring our founder and his legacy. The large community came together to celebrate the giant whose ideas of a better world live within us.”
