New Jerusalem appeals for financial help
Home manager Hopkins Kaira believes the compressors' ageing could be why they broke down.

President Park-based New Jerusalem Children’s Home appealed to members of the public to donate money to help them replace their broken compressors.
Manager Hopkins Kaira said the two compressors in their cold room were not operational and urged good Samaritans to come to their rescue.

He said as a result food to feed their 122 orphans would go to waste.
“We are appealing to companies and the general public to help raise funds to fix the cold room. Two compressors are down and food is going to waste and to replace them will cost about R20 000 plus labour,” added Kaira.
