Summerhill School SA takes first place for the fifth time at the Mondi Recycling Competition.

Summerhill School SA proudly announced its achievements in the recent Mondi Recycling Competition.

The school community’s unwavering boundless enthusiasm and steadfast commitment to sustainability have once again proven their leadership in environmental stewardship.

Jessica Roughton, vice principal for Summerhill Preparatory School, was thrilled when the school was crowned the first-place winner in the Gauteng region for the fifth time, recycling an impressive 8.3 tonnes of paper.

The school-winning staff member was Dineo Setseta, and the top-performing learner was Aryan Govender, who took first place.

Yadhav Sahadeo secured the second spot, Onalerona Setseta secured the third place, and siblings Talia and Prashanti Padayachee shared the fourth position.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Summerhill community for leading the way in this remarkable challenge,” concluded Roughton.
