The church’s outreach team, together with volunteers, completed the donation initiative, which started on October 1.
Yakeen Chanderalall, from the church’s outreach department, said they handed over essential items to families that were identified with schoolchildren.
“The items that were handed over included grocery hampers, toiletries, two blankets per family, school stationary, school bags, school shoes, and crockery. Each hamper was tailored to meet the needs identified by the families. The affected families were so grateful and overwhelmed by the commitment, dedication, and execution displayed by the Well Church outreach team,” said Chanderalall.

“The church worked closely with each family to understand what their critical needs were and provided for them accordingly. This initiative was successful because it was built on the foundation of having love and empathy for our fellow brothers and sisters,” he added.
Chanderalall said they ensured that the goal set out at the beginning of this initiative, to assist families with school children, was accomplished.
He thanked the Midrand community, as well as the suppliers who assisted in making the process so smooth and efficient. “Another big thank you to the Well Church outreach volunteers who worked tirelessly in the perfect execution of this initiative,” concluded Chanderalall.
