Shaune Mogaile to appear in the regional court
The Sekhukhune United FC winger is facing culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving charges after a crash which claimed the life of a 9-year-old.
The case of Shaune Mogaile, Sekhukhune United FC midfielder, will resume on November 17 after being transferred to the regional court from the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court.
He is facing culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving charges after his BMW veered off the road and ploughed head-on into Keo Mavimbela’s red Hyundai, killing her 9-year-old daughter, Gomolemo.
This happened on October 30 2024, along Andrew Mpheto Drive.
Thando Khethiwa, the son of Mavimbela’s friend, Carol, was critically injured as well.
The speedy winger was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. It’s further alleged that he fled the accident scene and handed himself over to the Rabie Ridge Police later that day.
Mogaile was granted R20 000 bail.
