Summerhill School SA’s Jaylynn Magerman (13), has scored yet another impressive milestone in netball and softball.
The multi-talented learner has been selected for the Gauteng North Indoor Netball U14 team, securing her place at the prestigious 2026 Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT) and adding to a year packed with standout sporting achievements.
Jaylynn, who plays for Midstream Action Netball, showcased her skills throughout the season as part of the Midstream Titans U13A team in the fiercely competitive Super League.

Earlier this year, she impressed selectors at the Gauteng North Indoor Netball trials, securing her place in the U14 squad that will compete at the IPT in April 2026.
But her sporting journey does not end on the netball court. Jaylynn is equally passionate about softball, where she has shown the same determination and excellence.
On November 15, she proudly took part in the U13A Johannesburg Softball Association (JSA) Inter-Regional Tournament (IRT) capping ceremony—an event honouring young athletes for their commitment throughout the season.
The ceremony was a celebratory moment for players, coaches, and families, recognising players’ growth and potential.

Representing both her school and her region, the Grade 7 learner recently attended trials for the JSA, where her impressive display earned her a spot in the JSA U13A team. She will compete at the IRT at Camp Discovery from November 30 to December 4.
Her mother, Janine, said she is incredibly proud of everything Jaylynn has achieved so far. “She is a hardworking young athlete who excels not only in sport, but in her academics as well,” said the mother.
Summerhill School SA applauded Jaylynn’s achievements across both sports, celebrating her discipline, commitment, and remarkable growth.
