Security in Midrand areas remains high due to joint operations

The Midrand Sector 2 Crime Forum notes various crime incidents over the past few days and are working with police to bolster visibility in the area.

Another Midrand Sector 2 high visibility joint operation was conducted on October 6.

This was yet another successful operation with the help of members of Midrand police, Sector 2 Crime Forum (SCF2) patrollers, FADT Security, and TRSS Security.

A firearm was recovered from a suspect and in a separate incident, undocumented individuals were validated by police.

Another incident involved a vacant house in the Carlswald area which was stripped of its windows, doors, wiring and plumbing.

SCF 2 patrols and operations Nolan Naidoo said it was important for residents to secure their properties when left unattended.
The forum also noted various crime incidents over the past few days and was working with police to bolster visibility in the area.

Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane commended the residents for participating in the joint operation and encouraged others to work with them to stop crime in the area.
