No incidents at any of Ria Sebetsa’s guarding sites this year

With a dedicated team of staff, Ria Sebetsa Security has had a great year of preventing crime in Midrand in 2022.

Operations manager at Ria Sebetsa Thiyoalin Govindsamy said with their passion and drive to save lives and property, they have completed this year successfully in their line of work.

In terms of safety and security, Ria Sebetsa had a women’s empowerment day that taught women self-defence and protection. This was a fun-filled day with many professionals volunteering their time and effort to put the programme together.

Ria Sebetsa’s operations director, Dillon Maduray said, “This year has been a demanding, yet, fruitful year at Ria Sebetsa, with no robberies or crime incidents at any of our guarding sites. This is due to our security officers and armed response personnel being vigilant and visible in the area’s that we work in.”

Vumacam was also brought to Midrand by Ria Sebetsa, and CEO Danny Maduray said, “We are the eye in the sky when it comes to security in the community. This helps the community and police in investigating incidents such as accidents, hijacking as well as kidnapping crimes.

“Additionally, the company has partnered with law enforcement across South Africa to launch the National Panic or Medical App which aids in the protection and response to medical emergencies throughout the country.

“Ria Sebetsa’s control room leader Rowen Rambrose said this year has been a challenging one, ‘especially with the unemployment rate, and crime has really gone up. Our teams are always proactive in stopping crime before it occurs’.”

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities at the exact time it happens and not leave it for the next day.

Ria Sebetsa thanked all the law enforcement agencies for their continuous support in helping to reduce crime. Looking ahead to 2023, the company promises to improve the well-being of the community in a few ways.
