Ms Midrand pageant was founded and 2021 with the aim to empower women.

The 2023 Ms Midrand crowning will be on July 22, and the theme is 'Action today, healthier tomorrow'.

Ms Midrand is a competition of pageants held by TIMA Pageant Universe and Trinity Pageant Foundation. The pageant was founded in 2021 as a way to help empower women by educating them about behavioural wellness issues, promoting prevention efforts, prioritising solitude, creating an environment where they can freely express themselves, and community engagement.

The pageant was started by Clifford Mokgotho, through the Trinity Imprint Empire and Trinity Pageant Foundation.

Mokgotho said he started this pageant to show the community the diverse cultural perspectives of Midrand, and this is the driving force behind their creativity and innovation. He said they needed a platform that they can use to show the world what makes this beautiful town, and Ms Midrand provides them with that platform.

The Ms Midrand pageant is for young people from ages 16 to 27, and Mokgotho said they use social media platforms to recruit them.

“We also do community outreach programmes where we engage and recruit young people through fun activities,” said Mokgotho.

The team prides itself on being the original Midrand brand, and they currently conquering the hearts of Midrand residents from the East side of the township.

The Ms Midrand team appreciates the undying support from communities such as Austin View, Rabie Ridge, Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, and Ebony Park, and they are working tirelessly to extend their reach.

In conclusion, Mokgotho said young people should not be scared to chase their dreams and follow their passions. “Opportunities to venture outside of one’s comfort zone are abundant in life but seizing them can be challenging. Sometimes the issue is a lack of understanding of the benefits,” said Mokgotho.

” After all, why would we try to give up the sensation of comfort if it indicates that our most fundamental needs are being met? More often than not, people are held back by their mindset rather than a clear knowledge gap. You have to start,” added Mokgotho.
