Local model bags Director’s Choice award at the Face of Devotion SA

Sanele Khuzwayo is ready to take the responsibility of teaching the next candidate who will take part in Face of Devotion this year.

Sanele Khuzwayo, a 23-year-old local model, recently achieved her dream of winning the Director’s Choice award at the Face of Devotion SA national pageant.

She has been in the modelling industry for more than five years and has received many accolades, but this specific award has always been ‘her dream’ as it truly cements her catwalk skill.

Khuzwayo said, “Every pageant teaches different things, but the most important thing I have learnt is to develop self-love, confidence, and commitment.”

Winning the Director’s Choice award means a lot to her as it shows she has done extremely well in her journey so far and met all the requirements needed by the management team.

The winner is chosen by observing the model’s commitment throughout the entire journey.

Khuzwayo’s journey started on January 29 last year at the provincial level of the pageant.

Sanele Khuzwayo is theDirector’s Choice for Face of Devotion SA.

She had to first compete as a Gauteng model in April after which she competed against other provinces to reach the finals.

Her journey has not been easy but she learned a lot. She was able to market the brand and herself resulting in people voting for her.

Representing her province meant a lot to her as she was not only representing the province ‘but all the townships in and around Gauteng’. She made sure to become a good role model for the youth of her province.

Khuzwayo is now ready to take the responsibility of teaching the next candidate who will take part in Face of Devotion this year.

“I aim to teach those coming after me how to commit to the pageant, market themselves in a good way, and become good role models who lead with good examples.”

Lastly, her responsibility is to commit to the pageant, always be available, and be able to get more models involved.

For this year, Khuzwayo has a lot of resolutions to achieve, including getting a job as she graduated last year.

“I want to become independent achieve all my dreams, and grow my personal brand more, which is the Face of Rabie Ridge.”
