Local model and Miss Plus Size Cosset finalist makes her contribution to society

Lusanda Mapundu recently donated over 200 menstrual pads to learners at Enqinisweni and Maphutha Secondary Schools through her Pad Drive initiative, and plans on doing even more to focus on menstrual health education and women's empowerment.

Lusanda Mapundu, a local model and finalist in the Miss Plus Size Cosset pageant, has been inspired to make a difference in her community throughout her journey in the competition.

At just 20 years old, and a resident of Mayibuye, Mapundu has embraced her curves and become an advocate for body positivity and meaningful social causes.

Her recent initiative, a Pad Drive, has been particularly impactful. On November 19, she donated 100 pads to learners at Enqinisweni Secondary School, and on November 28, she continued her efforts by donating 120 pads to Maphutha Secondary School.

“Growing up, I’ve always been passionate about self-expression and confidence, which made me fall in love with modelling as the industry gave me the platform to inspire others, promote body positivity, and celebrate myself,” she explained. “My unique blend of confidence, passion, and dedication to social causes distinguishes me. I strive to use my platform for good, inspiring others to do the same.
