Child pornography couple to return to court on Monday

The pair, were found in possession of about 10 million images and videos of child pornography.

The Randburg Magistrates’ Court has postponed the case of child pornography involving a couple to February 3.

The accused are facing multiple charges including manufacturing, selling, producing and possession of child pornography and money laundering. They will remain in custody.

The couple appeared in court on January 28 after the girlfriend appeared a day before and her case was rolled over to appear with her co-accused boyfriend. The postponement was granted so the couple could apply for bail.

The 35-year-old male suspect was arrested at his Midrand home on January 17, while the girlfriend (25), a web designer by profession, was arrested 11 days later in Houghton.
About 10 million child pornography images and videos on various electronic devices were found at the male suspect’s residence.
